The Old Crate

Crouched down, waited for the wave to surround the crate before making a mad dash so my socks would stay someway dry. I can’t decide if I like the colour or black & white version better. First I preferred the b&w, now the colour. Not too sure though…
Took these on a trip around Skibbereen after taking the suggestion of ‘ooh take that road’. Proof once more (as if you ever needed it) that every trip to west Cork can yield a new experience.

On a somewhat related note (and in perfect timing) I ordered my sparkly new Canon 24-70L today after successfully selling my Sigma 24-70 last week. I reckon it’s currently about 30,000 feet over Asia, making it’s way to me. Should be picking it up on Wednesday.

Colour one is nicer, the blue contrasts nicely against the black and white subject(s).
Air freight is naughty. You should have had it shipped carrier pigeon express and saved the planet.

Yeah.. the impressive carbon footprint my combined camera gear has worked up is enough to make a hippy bleed pollen.
It keeps me up at nights…

I like the colour one too… though if there was the same foam from the wave in the b/w one I might’ve had a harder time choosing ;D

I prefer the colour one too, the tones in it are beautiful, lovely mooted colours. Who would ahve thought a crate would be so beautiful

I prefer the colour one too. As above the tones are spot on for a seascape.
New gear again, although I can’t talk after buying two lenses this month

Colour one, definitely. The blues are gorgeous. And another purchase from something on my (admittedly very long) wishlist! OK, that’s just downright cruel.

I’d kinda torn.
I think I will settle on the colour one though.

Have to say I like the colour one the most,
