There was an update to RSE/P that did the 30D before development was shut down in favour of Lightroom. Personally I like Lightroom, but like I said try downloading the last RSE and it (in theory) does 30D too.

I dunno really. It's probably that I haven't tackled RAW much and when I do it's normally a bit of fecking around and not knowing exactly what I'm doing. Having said that, and as you've said, I make very little changes to RAW files when I do process them, unless there is obviously something wrong with the shot. Normally it's just a bit of sharpening and small changes in contrast etc.

I used rawshooter essentials for ages but since getting a 30D I can't use it anymore. It doesn't and from what I've seen will not be supporting 30D raw's. Pain in the cornholio. I've been messing around with lightroom (which is a nice bit of software, if a big sluggish), that's what I processed this lot in.

I reckon I need to do an extensive photoshop course. I'll have to pick up a few books for Christmas.

ummmm, exactly what is it that ya find hard about processing raw....? I shoot raw and unless I need to make an exposure correction, I do little if any other processing. Images are exported as 16 bit tiffs to CS2 where I do most editing with channels or in lab mode... then save to jpg if I have to.....

might be the software yer using,.... get yerself Rawshooter....
