An as yet undecided person at a popular swimming spot in Salthill, Co. Galway trying to figure out if he should go for a quick dip on a cold November day. He stood around for a few minutes clutching his towel tightly, throwing me the odd glance as I fumbled with my tripod and filters. If my fingers were numbing due to the cold, I wouldn’t have needed to think twice about going for a swim. I’d have been back in the car with the heater on. He did eventually go in, in case anyone was worried about closure on this rambling episode.
Great photo as always. Man you Irish are so crazy… first I witness thousands of people sit around in the blistering cold, wet winds of thunderous force to watch your beloved Rugby team squash Australia in a friendly match. And now I see this lonely man dive IN to cold water for a quick swim?! CRAZY!
Nice photo!
Just wait until Christmas Day Reggy, you’ll see loads and loads of people going in for a swim in the morning. Then again the same thing on New Years Day. What fun… Even more fun to stand on the beach and chuckle at the funny faces they make when their half naked bodies get hit by the freezing cold water
Nice shot - it was a bit wilder there today…
Really good exposure and the colours are great, I’ve taken a few shots of this myself but in better conditions, i see they have added some warning signs since the last time I was there
Cool…
