A recent daytrip to Garinish Island off Glengarriff in west Cork yielded the following results. Despite the in-frequent sprinklings of rain (and the possible threat of yet more rain to come) the day went off well. I did not spot one of my fellow Carrigaline Photographic Society members; odd as it was the very reason I was in west Cork to begin with. How and ever, got the ferry out to the island and was highly impressed by the scenery on offer out there.
I can’t wait to get back there when everything is in full bloom. Make sure to leave plenty of time though, get over there early, have a relaxing stroll around and leave buckets of time for a nice pot of tea before you get the ferry back. That’s the way to do it! Until I get back, there are more on flickr and one or two making an appearance on Glassey Alley.

Great water droplet shots, like the last one with the stones too.
I thought of you today when I was down by Rinagaskiddy. You can see this MASSIVE yellow field on the middle of all the green, its looks so wicked,(Ive never seen it before) so we went looking for it,drive towards Currabinny and pull in to the right (there in a house being built there) its the closest you can park the car. Then walk past the house up one of those roads with all the grass in the midde and there you are,in a 9 acres of yellow.very cool, well worth taking some shots. There seemed to be an abandoned house of some sort in the distance but i couldnt walk too far because I had flip flops on so dont wear flip flops when you go.The yellow stuff looke like yellow weeds which I think is called Rape if my garsen knowledge serves me correctly.Right anyway thats it.Happy Snapping of the pretty yellow field!
