   I had that Canon EOS 1D Mk II for all of 3 days… didnt like it. If I had the money and was buying, I’d be selected the 5D with that budget, pro features with a higher resolution.. 1D has circa 8mp, 5D is running close on 12. These days I’m using the 1Ds MkII. Incidentally, when the shutterlife expires on a digital, the camera doesnt stop working! The meter goes all screwy is what happens, though why that is I have no idea. You might see that camera indicating 1/100 sec f2.8… and it might actually fire at 1/60 sec.,… get the picture? If your buying on Ebay theres loads of bargains to be got as you’ve discovered… as regards lens… what would I have? (all are Canon unless otherwise specified)

   have to have:

   50mm f1.8
   100mm macro
   17 - 40 f4 L
   24 - 105 f4 L IS
   70 - 200 f2.8 L IS

   My luxury lens:
   14mm f2.8 L
   200 - 500 f6.3 Tamron

   Actually I own all of the above, all bought on Ebay, and I didnt break $10k.

   Hey Ryan, I love the new photoblog but I’m glad you decided not to retire this one. Is it a Wordpress template you used for the new blog?
