Tall Ships
Decided to embrace the crummy schedule of the Tall Ships festival in Waterford by driving there after work yesterday to take in the fireworks show at 11pm. I was suitably impressed by the free park & ride on the Cork road and by the setup on the quays. Given the timestamp on my first photo, I must have arrived at around 7pm. Ended up taking around 700 shots and managed to use my PSD for the first time. Worked flawlessly thank God.

Given that I can’t really remember much about the visit of the Tall Ships to Cork back in 1991 I’d have to say this was something new. New aswell on the photography front; I got to take my first fireworks pictures ever! Research pays dividends apparently. The rest of the set is, as always, on my flickr account.

To the lady who expressed an interest in getting some prints from me: Take a look at the rest of the shots by clicking here, email me (mail@rymus.net) with the numbers you are interested in and we can work out the details.

Nice photos! The firework photo is spectacular!
I was down there too, but wasn’t really happy with any of my shots. The rain put a bit of a dampner on things too because I had forgotten my coat!
Must say, it was well planned and organised. Pity the fireworks show only lasted 10 minutes!
