Vodafone are taking (or at least looking into taking) a zero tolerance stance on pornographic material being accessed through their mobile network. Same goes for chatrooms and gambling related websites.
The move comes as Vodafone UK are up to the same filtering over the Irish sea. Unmonitored services are to be blocked, which I would think are most of the services available.
To gain access to these services & websites, users would have to prove they are over 18.
What really takes the cake is that
Vodafone Ireland says such a move here would require technical changes to the whole network, which it is currently looking into
I mean in all fairness. If they can completely overhaul the network to block out some dirty pictures & legal gambling, how in the name of God has it taken them so long to get WAP2.0 off the ground? Morons!
