Those wacky 1950′s chappies in Portmarnock golf course (Dublin) have only gone and had their license suspended for a whole week because they refused to allow women to join the club.

It’s the first time that a club has been sanctioned under the Equal Status Act. In a related matter, hundreds of doctors, solicitors, surgeons, dentists, auctioneers and other white collar workers have nothing to do for a week and will instead flick salted peanuts at their kitchen-bound wives in protest.
