Is John from Manchester really selling his ex-wifes knickers over the internet? I would imagine that by now everyone on the planet with an email address has seen this. But is the whole thing a hoax? There have so far been 3,600 visitors to the ebay auction (which ebay apparently closed, so the page is hosted elsewhere). However, Sky news reports that the ebay item number doesn’t actually exist, which would undoubtedly make the ebay page a fake.

So the question remains, who is this “John” and more to the point, who’s the girl in the ‘ebay’ photo?
